The Paris-based IMCAS that represents cosmetic surgeons and dermatologists, pronounced in a new investigate that beauty procedures worldwide including liposuctions, breast implants, and botox injections grew 10.1 percent year-on-year in 2011 to between 3.2 to 3.8 billion euros ($4.1 to 4.9 billion).

The figure this year is set to grow 11.12 percent, pronounced a study, “demonstrating a sector’s dynamism.”

IMCAS, or a International Master Course on Ageing Skin, is starting a annual discussion in Paris on Friday.

More than 400,000 women around a universe are believed to have perceived implants done by now-defunct French organisation Poly Implant Prothese (PIP) that was found to have been regulating industrial-grade silicone jelly that caused abnormally high detonation rates.

“One thinks that a PIP event will have short-term impact,” pronounced Laurent Brones, one of a authors of a study.

“There will certainly be a disastrous outcome though for a few months and it will be localised,” he said.

Brones pronounced PIP was a “small manufacturer” that especially exported to Europe and Latin America and not vital markets like a United States and Asia.

Of a estimated 20 million women with implants worldwide, PIP usually represents 1.5 percent with about 300,000 regulating a product, he said.
